Book: Americanah
Author: Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

This is my 45th read for the year
This is the story of Ifemelu and Obinze. They grew up in Nigeria and watched as some of their friends left and headed for the West. Ifemelu gets a chance to go to America to study and discovers what it is like to be black in America. Obinza hoped to follow her, but he isn't able to and ends up in Britian and then back to Nigeria. 15 years after the last time they saw each other they are reunited. So much has happened in both of their lives that it will be hard to find their way together.
This was a pretty good book. I read Half of a Yellow Sun as part of my Read The World challenge and really enjoyed it. Adichie is a talented writer, and I thought this was a well told story. She tells a through provoking story in an intelligent manor. The characters were well developed and the narrative flowed well. I am glad I finally got to read this book
