Book: Miracle Creek

 Book: Miracle Creek

Author: Angie Kim

Pages: 384

This is my 10th read for the year

This story is about a group of people who use a hyperbaric chamber at a special facility in Virginia.  Moms whose children are autistic as well as a young man who is using it for infertility issues.  During a session, an explosion occurs killing 2 people and injuring others.  One person is on trial for murder but everyone who was there that day has secrets.  What caused the explosion?  Who is to blame?

This was an okay book.  I did figure out before the end who the person responsile for the explosion.  The author spends time with all the characters that were there that day putting doubt in the reader's mind who was really responsible until the very end.  That got a little old.  This book has a ton of characters.  And I didn't really like any of them except the mother of Rosa.  The court room drama was pretty good - sometimes that can be overdone and I didn't find that here.

This is a debut novel and I am late to the party reading this book.  Didn't love it, but didn't hate it either.
